Edible Celebration Garden

Everyone in Canada is invited to Live the Garden Life, and share their edible garden. Did you know your garden is an important source of food for your family

What are we celebrating?

There’s so much to celebrate about an Edible Celebration Garden, starting with the health benefits of adding more vegetables and fruits to your diet, and sharing excess with neighbours. Don’t forget the joy of cooking with and eating home grown, garden-fresh bounty, and by adding flavour from fresh herbs and spices. People save money on their food bills by growing edible gardens, too.  By signing up your garden as an Edible Celebration Garden you will be helping others learn from your gardening success. It’s an expression of how growing food in your garden helps you and your family.

Share your Garden

Register your Edible Celebration Garden at no cost, by submitting a photo of your garden. Your entry will be pinned on the map (by community not exact location) and you will receive a special downloadable Edible Celebration Garden Certificate of participation.

Want to enhance your Edible Celebration Garden? Unsure of what to plant? Consult your local greenhouse or nursery grower, garden retailer, or on-line resource for bulbs, annuals, perennials and grasses, trees and shrubs, and vegetables and fruits for your garden. Don’t forget to check the Year of the Garden 2022 official plants.

We are looking forward to seeing your Edible Celebration Garden on the map and a picture of your garden appear below.

Please post photos and stories about your Edible Celebration Garden and tag them with #EdibleCelebrationGarden and #YearoftheGarden2022 on your social media feeds.
