Joanna Chapman led the creation of the first municipal Butterfly Garden in Canada in 1992. Since then (30 years) she has been a tireless coordinator of the Urquhart Butterfly Garden working with community leaders, businesses and volunteers. This garden has flourished under her leadership and is now a top ten destination for locals and tourists. The garden is planted with host plants and pollinator plants for butterflies, birds, bees and insects. It is an oasis for all creatures.
