Joanne has been volunteering for 15 years, using her skills and training as a Master Gardener to organize the renovations and replanting of 6 of the Omemee village gardens. As chair of the Green Team, she supervises the planting, maintaining of 9 gardens and 20 planters. She is keen to participate and support the society in all activities using her knowledge and demonstrating good leadership skills. Residents and visitors are impressed and comment how they enjoy the gardens.
