Everyone in Canada is invited to Live the Garden Life and share their garden. Is your garden a canvas for creativity, a space for doing something uniquely your own?
What are we celebrating?
During the pandemic, people spent time in their home gardens and balconies getting creative. Now, during post pandemic recovery, it’s time to share your garden talents from flower arranging, writing poetry, drawing and painting to cooking. Perhaps you designed and built a landscape feature, sculpted a piece of art, or used your deck as a dance studio or performance space. Or you created a garden inspired dish from something you grew in the garden and grilled on the barbeque. By signing up your garden as a Personal Celebration Garden you will be helping others learn from your gardening success. It’s an expression of how your garden was and continues to be a special space for creative expression.
Share your Garden
Register your Personal Celebration Garden at no cost, by submitting a photo of your garden. Your entry will be pinned on the map (by community not exact location) and you will receive a special downloadable Year of the Garden 2022 Celebration Garden Certificate of participation.
Want to enhance your Personal Celebration Garden? Unsure of what to plant? Consult your local greenhouse or nursery grower, garden retailer, or on-line resource for bulbs, annuals, perennials and grasses, trees and shrubs, and vegetables and fruits for your garden. Don’t forget to check the Year of the Garden 2022 official plants.
