Verna has started a community garden project for the Nawalakw Society in our community of Alert Bay. She started from scratch, amazing organizing, breaking ground, green houses and clearing the grounds for the gardening. Teaching 20 youth how to garden and sharing her knowledge, then harvesting and giving it out once a week to community. A beautiful pilot project that has been a beautiful success and such Good medicine for our community by nourishing them with her knowledge and what she grows.
