Joe is a Senior who has lived in the same neighborhood since he was a child and cares deeply for this area of Sydney. Since 2016, he’s given his time to the Southend Public Gardens – he maintains the pathways to keep them accessible for residents/visitors, he weeds/waters the pollinator gardens to ensure they thrive and recently helped in a planting event where 500 maple and tamarack trees were planted in just one morning to help waterflow be handled more effectively in a flood prone area.
