We have never had a community garden. Karen joined our community board two years ago and she said she wanted a community garden. We said sounds good but we’re a small board and we have all these other projects but if you want to build one, we will help. So Karen went ahead and did 90% of the work herself. She tried to create a committee but people didn’t want to commit so she continued to work on a plan. The board helped her but she did all the planning and gathering materials. She did it.
