Take in Ottawa and Gatineau’s natural and artistic beauty with the Garden Promenade, a showcase offering 75+ garden experiences.
The Garden Promenade begins on the east side of Ottawa at Rideau Hall, where you can explore the Governor General’s gardens. The Promenade travels all the way west to the 1,000-acre Central Experimental Farm, home to the Ornamental Gardens, Tropical Greenhouse, Dominion Arboretum, and Fletcher Wildlife Garden.
Your road trip from east to west, allows you to explore Sussex Drive, passing the Parliament Buildings in the heart of Ottawa. You can cross the bridge to Gatineau to visit “Ruisseau de la Brasserie” or follow the UNESCO World Heritage Rideau Canal. There is so much to see!
This Promenade is easily accessible by bicycle and walking paths, as well as by car. The Garden Promenade covers approximately 15 km.
